Maia has over nine years of digital communications, marketing and public relations experience, including influencer relations; social media content creation and community management; health care, consumer, entertainment and public affairs communications; media training and event management. 

Currently, Maia is a brand strategist at Niche — a leading network of 35,000+ content creators — whose focus is to connect top content creators with Fortune 500 brands and advertisers, including McDonalds, Best Buy and Target, to create engaging and compelling content for social platforms including Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

Before joining Niche, Maia was a key leader and strategic advisor on the Influencer Relations Management team at Weber Shandwick. She also served as a social media manager with Discovery Communications, overseeing social media presence and securing coverage for networks including Discovery Channel, Velocity, Investigation Discovery and Discovery Fit & Health. Prior to that, Maia worked at MSLGROUP, managing advocacy outreach and grassroots event planning and communications for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and media outreach for Nestlé Nutrition, General Motors, FIFA and Best Buy.

Maia is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and psychology.
