Keme Hawkins is a yogi and freelance writer living in Atlanta, Ga. She completed her Master’s in Afro-American Studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she traveled to Brazil and became fascinated with Afro-Brazilian culture. This culminated in her
dissertation for her doctorate in English at Emory University. In addition to her academic training Keme has studied various modes of health and healing in religious traditions from all over the world. But her most consistent practices are in yoga and angel healings. A deep
interest in languages, cultures and the healing arts continue to pull her across the globe.
