Jo-Robin Banks, Innovation and Project Management Consultant, Multicultural
Leadership


Jo-Robin Banks is a business professional and aspiring entrepreneur uniquely skilled inimplementing the rigor of project management while allowing for the process ofdiscovery that is enabled by an understanding and practice of innovation. She has anextensive background in working with both nonprofit and for profit organizations, with an emphasis on project management, innovation approaches, communication and storytelling, process improvement, change management, business management, team building and leadership, and budget development and management.

In her current position, Innovation and Project Management Consultant for Multicultural
Markets at AARP, Jo is responsible for program design and development, event
execution, process improvement, operational planning and vendor management.
Jo is one of the creators of Claim More, a social movement and transformational healthy
living program targeted to African American women to enable them to be more
accountable and empower them to create and sustain healthy life-long behaviors that
serve to reduce their risk for obesity related chronic illnesses. This program was
launched in multiple churches in the Southeast and realized a significant emotional
engagement and health improvements among the many participants. Claim More has
been nominated for the 2017 Edison Awards.

Jo received a BA in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master of Science
in Management from Colorado Technical University. She is certified in Project
Management, Change Management and Business Management.
